Learn about parks budget at open house, on Web site
If you want to know how Metro Parks plans to spend your tax dollars
over the next two years, you can find out by viewing the agency's
proposed budget on the Internet or attending an open house Thursday
evening.
See the park district's preliminary budget for 2007 and 2008 at
www. metroparkstacoma.org.
The open house is set for 5:30 p.m. Thursday in the board room
at Metro Parks headquarters, 4702 S. 19th St.
The park board will hold a public hearing on the $144 million spending
plan at 6 p.m. Dec. 4.
The budget does not contain the kinds of large cutbacks of previous
budgets, according to a news release.
The park board is likely to approve the budget Dec. 11.
